Liz Caile Writing Workshop – Grades 3-5

October 23, 2017 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Annual Liz Caile Contest and Writing Workshop
Sponsored by the Mountain Forum for Peace and Nederland Community Library

An exciting addition to the contest itself this year are 2 writing workshops that Krista Crabtree will lead at the Nederland Community Library to assist students in honing their writing skills and developing their stories or poems for the contest.

Workshop for grades 6-12: Monday, Oct. 16th, 3:30-5:30 pm
Workshop for grades 3-5: Tuesday, Oct. 23rd, 3:30-5:30 pm
The workshops are free of cost to all participants, but attendance is limited to 12 kids each. A notebook, pen, and snacks will be provided to all participants. To register your kid, or with any questions email: baby@sheskis.net
For more information on the Liz Caile Contest visit: mountainforumforpeace.org
*For all elementary students riding the bus to afterschool programs*

For their safety, unless it is their normal bus, all students must email Krista Crabtree at baby@sheskis.net with the name of children attending and provide Sheila Kassera at NES with written permission for children to ride the 709 bus.

Krista will meet students at the bus stop (directly behind the library) and escort them into the building. The program will end at 5:30 pm. Please make sure there are arrangements to retrieve your children!

This year’s Liz Caile Contest will culminate in an evening of art and writing presented at Salto on Thursday, November 9th from 5:30 – 8pm, and open to all ages (child to adult). The theme for this year’s contest is “How does water connect us?” in honor of Liz Caile, and her fierce commitment to peace and protecting the environment.
